Who needs to dine out when the garden is just a step away and the chooks have produced an egg!

Why Give-away Gardens are Good

Give-away gardens are a beacon of hope. They bring out the best in people

and remind us of the love that permeates this sometimes dark world.

Thank you to whoever enjoyed the garden’s vegetables and left this lovely note

in my mailbox.

Worth the Wait

I thought our blueberry bushes were never going to fruit but after 4 years, here’s what they’ve decided to do! Blueberries are strange creatures. They detest lime, take a considerable time to start fruiting well and, when they do, the fruit ripens unevenly on the bush. This means careful picking is necessary as ripe berries must be harvested from a tight bunch which may still be sporting green fruit. Fresh blueberries from the garden are more tangy and flavoursome that their more bland supermarket cousins.
